Its powerful, 3-horsepower motor has four fixed speeds: 60 RPM, 105 RPM, 176 RPM, and 310 RPM, while its No. 12 attachment hub's four speeds are 67 RPM, 118 RPM, 198 RPM, and 349 RPM. For dependability while moving through thick ingredients, its high-torque transmission is gear driven, while its heat-treated, hardened steel alloy gears and shafts can endure high-volume use. To achieve a variety of functions, this unit includes an aluminum spiral dough hook, aluminum flat beater, and stainless steel whip.

To streamline operation, the Globe SP62P-4 commercial planetary mixer features a front-mounted touch pad with speed adjustment, a 60-minute digital timer, and a last-batch recall mechanism. Instead of manually raising or lowering the bowl, operators can simply press a button to adjust the bowl's height, and its safety interlocked design reduces spill or fall risks. Staff can transport the large bowl from mixing stations to food prep stations with the heavy-duty bowl truck to avoid having to carry heavy contents. So this 30¹⁄₄-inch-wide by 41³⁄₅-inch-deep by 60-inch-high cast iron unit remains stable during operation, it's positioned on nonslip rubber feet.
