The True TUC-72-HC undercounter refrigerator has an adjustable temperature that operators can set at any level between 33 and 38 degrees Fahrenheit. Cold air is evenly moved throughout the cabinet by fans, and their motors are electronically commutated, so they operate efficiently with little heat production. Accessible from the rear, the condensing unit has a convenient slide-out design.

To lengthen the unit’s lifespan, the condensing fan motor blows in reverse for 20 seconds when the compressor cycles on, removing buildup from the condensing coil. A cleaner coil can perform more efficiently, using less energy while keeping products cool. This automatic self-cleaning feature should work alongside regular preventive maintenance to ensure the coil and its components are working correctly over time. 

Intended to fit under countertops, this unit maximizes space by providing cold storage without taking up prep space, and it has an ADA-compliant, 34-inch working height, which is perfect for prepping ingredients. The three-section interior has six shelves, and their PVC coating provides corrosion resistance. Operators can adjust the shelves to accommodate different-sized products. Because the floor is made of stainless steel, it is quick to wipe down, and coved corners in the floor eliminate cracks, so debris will not get stuck and harbor bacteria.

The doors on this True TUC-72-HC have a self-closing design to retain cold air if a user accidentally leaves them open. Past 90 degrees, the doors stay open, ensuring loading and unloading product is convenient. Opening and closing the doors is comfortable with recessed, 12-inch-long handles. Constructed of one piece, door gaskets create a seal that prevents cold air from leaking out, and they have a magnetic design that snaps in and out without tools.
