For corrosion resistance and a simplified cleaning process, the True TUC-48D-4-HC-LP undercounter refrigerator has a stainless steel floor with coved corners and a clear-coated aluminum interior. A GalFan coating on the steel exterior back also offers corrosion resistance, while the stainless steel front, top, and ends increase strength and facilitate cleanup. There are four drawers in this unit, and each one can hold one full-size storage box, which is sold separately. Equipped with 1¹⁄₂-inch-diameter dual swivel castors, this unit has a low-profile work surface height of 31⁷⁄₈ inches.

High-density polyurethane insulation foams the cabinet structure and drawer facings of the True TUC-48D-4-HC-LP undercounter refrigerator, keeping cold air around the stored items. Operators can set and adjust the temperature between 33 and 38 degrees Fahrenheit, while the refrigeration system uses a guided airflow system to evenly move cold air throughout the cabinet, ensuring all products are uniformly cooled. For efficient operation, the fan motors in the unit are electronically commutated, and they run consistently without generating a lot of heat.

When the compressor cycles on, the fan motor reverses for 20 seconds to blow away debris, buildup, and settled dust from the condensing coil. Maintaining a clean condensing coil helps the unit performs more efficiently; this self-cleaning function can also lengthen its overall lifespan. However, users should still carry out preventive maintenance on a routine basis.
