The condensing unit in the True TUC-48D-2-LP-HC undercounter refrigerator has a convenient slide-out design and is accessible from the back of the cabinet. To provide uniform temperatures, the oversized refrigeration system is factory balanced with a guided airflow, while the capillary tube system uses eco-friendly R290 hydrocarbon refrigerant, maintaining temperatures between 33 and 38 degrees Fahrenheit. Operators can set the temperature at a level that best suits their application.

Because of its electronically commutated evaporator and condenser fan motors, this True TUC-48D-2-LP-HC undercounter refrigerator operates at high efficiencies and moves a consistent volume of air, which produces little heat and saves energy. The compressor’s fan motor blows air in a reverse direction for 20 seconds each time it starts up; this function removes buildup and dirt from the condensing coil.  Though this feature improves efficiency, reduces energy consumption, and lengthens the unit’s lifespan, it isn’t a replacement for regular preventive maintenance. 

Behind this unit's door section, two adjustable shelves with a heavy-duty PVC coating hold stored items. The shelves measure 21⁹⁄₁₆ inches wide by 16 inches deep, and because they are wire, the shelves have gaps that encourage airflow and completely cool stored items. Both storage drawers are designed to hold a 12-inch-long by 18-inch-wide by 6-inch-deep food pan.
