Providing a combination of refrigerated storage and heavy-duty workspace, the True TRCB-79-HC chef base has a stainless steel top that can support as much as 1,084 pounds of equipment and supplies. Its seamless construction prevents food buildup, while its raised marine rail edge catches spills. Important ingredients can be refrigerated in the drawers, where they stay within reach. Each drawer accepts two full-size food pans that are 4 inches deep and must be bought separately. For comfort, all drawer handles are recessed, instead of sticking out into the aisle.

The True TRCB-79-HC refrigerated chef base maintains an interior temperature range of 33 to 38 degrees Fahrenheit, which can be set, adjusted, and checked on the digital display. Air is cooled by R290 refrigerant flowing through the capillary tubes and circulated around the interior by large fans. This system ensures that temperatures stay uniform throughout the cabinet. To prevent cold-air leaks, magnetic gaskets seal the drawers, while polyurethane insulation is foamed in place in the cabinet walls to reinforce the structure. For durability, the base has a stainless steel and aluminum construction, and cleaning underneath the base is streamlined because the unit's castors provide mobility.
