The Everest Refrigeration ECB52D2 chef base’s exterior and interior are made of heavy-duty stainless steel with high-density polyurethane foam insulation, while the 16-gauge stainless steel worktop is insulated with high-grade material. The two drawers are built with recessed handles and don't protrude, saving space and reducing the risk of injury. The drawers’ low-friction ball bearings enable the drawers to open and close smoothly. Equipped with four swivel casters (two with locks) and 12-gauge metal caster brackets, this unit supports mobility and additional weight from mounted cooking equipment.
Mounted to the side, the Everest Refrigeration ECB52D2 chef base’s self-contained refrigeration system is easily accessible for maintenance or cleaning and utilizes R290 hydrocarbon refrigerant for energy-efficient, eco-friendly cooling. The self-maintaining condensate pan eliminates water buildup, while the temperature-terminated, automatic defrost cycle prevents ice formation on the condenser and evaporator coils. These coils are corrosion resistant for constant use, and if they overheat, an alarm sounds. Operators can adjust the holding temperature between 33 and 54 degrees Fahrenheit with the digital control panel.
