It is made of Tritan™ copolyester, which is impact resistant and lightweight, while the contents can be seen through the clear material. Volume indicators on the side facilitate measuring, and the three corners facilitate pouring the contents into glasses. The Blendtec 40-711-08 WildSide jar has a vented Gripper™ lid which lets out steam when mixing hot products, such as soup.
