"What's not to love about glass I first thought, but the pet friendly extras make this a whole lot more useful for those of us with cats. I like Cadco products because they produce and they're durable. I've just given up on using the smaller cooking circle, because as the other reviewer has said, it's not intuitive and it's simply a warming plate anyway. You can see the red glow of the heating elements behind the glass, which means it's doing a whole lot more than the induction unit it has replaced. Now I can use any pot, and having retired my massively corroded, and dangerous, gas appliance, I do have a lot of aluminum ware. It's cozy, as it were, and like me a little slower."

"I keep thinking this is an induction unit because it's so clean and cool to the touch. It's also effortless but you do need to keep the instructions somewhere safe to remind yourself how to switch from the larger to the smaller cooking surfaces. that's not intuitive. however, the understated performance has much to recommend it. I can cook and simmer quite a number of items, and with a little care fry effectively as well. where it vastly surpasses it's lookalike cousin, the induction cookware, is its versatility. Aluminum for one, which is quite hopeless on an induction cooker with this, I can grab any pot and cook. not quite as quick as gas, but just as versatile and a lot kinder to inquisitive pets."
