Despite being a half-height unit, the Carter-Hoffmann PH181 mobile heated cabinet's universal slides accommodate a wide range of foods because they can support 18-inch by 26-inch sheet pans, 12-inch by 20-inch steam table pans, gastronorm pans, and 20-inch by 20-inch glass racks. The slides are situated 3.50 inches apart, though they can be adjusted in 1.75-inch increments if desired. Designed to keep prepared foods hot for serving, its bottom-mounted heating system circulates heat evenly, and operators can adjust temperatures up to 200 degrees Fahrenheit with the mechanical controls. By using convection technology, the cabinet's interior can preheat to 160 degrees Fahrenheit in 25 minutes and recover unexpected temperature fluctuations quickly. Its door is filled with 1.50-inch-thick, high-density fiberglass insulation to prevent temperature changes when it's opened as operators load and remove pans.

Once foods are warm for serving, the Carter-Hoffmann PH181 heated transport cart is simple to transport; it's fitted with four 5-inch swivel casters, and two casters include brakes for stability. The casters are positioned in an offset, wheel-ahead design, which prevents two casters from passing over irregular surfaces at the same time, causing the cabinet to tip. Users can push and steer this 30.63-inch-wide by 36-inch-deep by 36.13-inch-high unit with the two vertical side bars. A nonmarking, gray vinyl bumper wraps around the base's perimeter to absorb shock and minimize damage to facility walls and the cart if a collision occurs. Because it's constructed of durable, fully welded stainless steel, it withstands impacts and resists corrosion and rust.
