As a half-height unit, this Carter-Hoffmann PH1215 mobile heated cabinet measures 46³⁄₄ inches wide by 28 inches deep by 42 inches high. This cabinet is mounted on 5-inch polyurethane casters for mobility. Two of the casters swivel, enabling turning and reversal, while two casters are rigid for stabilization throughout use. These casters are configured in an offset, wheel-ahead pattern, meaning one caster is positioned in front of the other to prevent two casters from passing over uneven ground simultaneously, which could cause the unit to fall. Constructed of all-welded stainless steel, this cabinet resists rust and corrosion over time to preserve its original, sleek look; a non-marking, gray vinyl bumper wraps around the base to protect the unit, walls, and furniture from scuffs or scrapes during transport. For improved control during transport, two heavy-duty, vertical push handles are bolted to its sides.

Designed to keep cooked food warm for serving, the Carter-Hoffmann PH1215 heated cabinet's bottom-mounted convection heating system uses forced air to circulate heat evenly throughout the cabinet. Operators can adjust temperatures as high as 200 degrees Fahrenheit using the dial thermometer, and its remote sensing bulb gauges the cabinet's interior temperature accurately. High-density, 1-inch-thick insulation preserves the cabinet's programmed temperatures when the doors are opened or when the system is stored in cool ambient environments. Its two doors include a high-temperature magnetic door gasket that keeps them closed, reducing the risk of unexpected temperature changes. Overall, its removable tray racks and channel slides are built on 2.75-inch centers and can accommodate (21) 12-inch by 20-inch steam pans.
