The Garland SHDUCL10000610 drop-in induction range has high-powered coils that create a magnetic field on the cook surface. When cookware comes into contact with this field, its electrons move rapidly, generating heat for cooking. This method provides quicker response times than traditional electric and gas cooking. It also improves energy efficiency and reduces heat transfer into surrounding air.
The cook surface on this Garland SHDUCL10000610 commercial induction cooktop is split into two sections with a rotary controller. This dial can be set to any level between 1 and 12 depending on the application. An electronic temperature system is built into the unit, monitoring the coils, glass, heat sink, and electric components to ensure the levels are safe for operation. Designed to be dropped into a countertop, this range comes with an installation kit.
