Ideal for medium-volume locations, the Hoshizaki KMD-505MRJZ ice maker can produce 560 pounds of ice in a day in locations with an ambient temperature of 70 degrees Fahrenheit and 50-degree incoming water. The unit produces half-cube ice with a crescent form and is ideal for use in soft drinks or in blended smoothies or cocktails.

The Hoshizaki KMD-505MRJZ maker unit uses R404a refrigerant and is circulated throughout the maker via the remote air-cooling system, which emits less heat than units with mounted cooling systems. The unit has a self-diagnostic program that monitors and notifies users of any discrepancies via the EverCheck alert system. For proper operation, the unit requires the purchase of a collection bin and must be hardwired into the locations electrical system.
