The floor model Thermo-kool TK5-1 blast chiller and shock freezer is mounted on four heavy-duty casters for mobility and hassle-free configuration. It has one compartment designed to hold four full-size pans in stainless steel walls insulated with foamed-in-place polyurethane. The door is field reversible for user customization. This reach-in unit measures 25¹/₄ inches wide by 26¹/₈ inches deep by 32⁹/₁₀ inches high.

The refrigeration system in the Thermo-kool TK5-1 blast chiller and shock freezer uses R404A hydrocarbon refrigerant to cool the unit while minimizing the carbon footprint. The self-contained system is top mounted for convenient maintenance, and the front-mounted control panel can be set to fully automatic or manual operation. It can chill 44 pounds of 165-degree-Fahrenheit food to 37 degrees Fahrenheit in 2 hours and freeze 30 pounds of 165-degree-Fahrenheit food to 0 degrees Fahrenheit in 4 hours.
