To endure outdoor elements, it comes with a weather protection kit comprised of a one-piece, 35-millimeter white membrane roof material and metal trim from the roof material's flashing. To ease setup, the roof material doesn't require seaming or gluing to the top of the walk-in's ceiling panels. So the Capsule Pak™ refrigeration system can produce and maintain an interior temperature of 35 degrees Fahrenheit, this unit should be used in environments that don't exceed 90 degrees Fahrenheit.

The wall, ceiling, and floor panels feature male and female mating rails that keep the panels aligned during setup, while foamed-in-place cam locking fasteners ensure the panels are sealed airtight to enhance energy efficiency. Each panel is built with 4-inch-thick polyurethane insulation that provides an R-25 thermal resistance value for the walls, ceiling, and door. While the interior and exterior panels are finished with stucco-embossed, corrosion-resistant 26-gauge coated steel, the floor sports a smooth aluminum surface that can accommodate an evenly distributed load of 800 pounds per square foot.

The Norlake KODB7768-C outdoor walk-in cooler's 26-inch-wide by 78-inch-tall right-hinged door grants direct access to the unit's interior. For smooth opening and closing, it's built with cam-lift hinges, a spring-actuated door closer, and a magnetic gasket. Inside the unit, a vapor-proof LED light fixture positioned above the door illuminates the storage area, while staff can determine if the light has been left on via the exterior pilot indicator light. Users can turn the light on and off with the light switch positioned beneath the digital thermometer, which provides an accurate readout of the interior temperature. After business hours, the deadbolt handle and padlock can be locked to deter unauthorized access. To prevent employees from becoming locked inside the unit, the door's safety release mechanism is located inside.
