"Nice and heavy, even heat distribution. I was excited when I saw this on the KaTom website because new, low-walled iron pans have been impossible to find. My intended purpose for this pan was to use it for making over-easy eggs and for this it is not great. When I attempt to flip eggs, the bumps on the bottom surface of the pan (from sand-casting?) snag the spatula, making flipping very difficult. Good for other stuff, I'm sure, but not for over-easy eggs."
"Cast iron is a great way to cook most anything. Still processing the surfaçe to make it the best non-stick pan in my kitchen. Also like the design and appearance of the skillet."
"This is my 9th piece of cast iron. More cooking surface than my 8" lodge skillets and works great on a small burner. One very small flaw where the oil fired finish popped off but that is no biggie. It will disappear with use. The handle is different. After using the pan a few times I've grown comfortable with it. Will buy the 12" soon."
