Because the FWE HLC-10 Handy Line heated holding cabinet measures 34 inches wide by 26¹/₂ inches deep by 25³/₄ inches high, it can be stored beneath a counter to save kitchen space. The unit's 10 stainless steel racks accommodate 12-inch by 20-inch pans and GN 1/1 pans of various depths. For thorough cleaning, the racks can be removed without tools. The cabinet's reach-in layout enables operators to load and retrieve pans briskly; a stainless steel door built into each compartment's front grants direct access to product. Resistant to rust and corrosion, the interior is 22-gauge stainless steel and features simple-to-clean, coved corners, while the exterior has a polished, 20-gauge stainless steel construction.

To produce temperatures from 90 to 190 degrees Fahrenheit, the FWE HLC-10 holding cabinet uses a radiant heat system. As holding requirements evolve, operators can manipulate cabinet temperatures with the electronic controls. This control system also includes a digital temperature display with a recall capacity, a master on/off switch with a power indicator light, and a low-temperature alarm, which can be programmed to notify users if temperatures drop. To minimize temperature changes, the unit is fully insulated with Ultra-Guard UG-26 high-density fiberglass.
