Vulcan GS40ES Description
The Vulcan GS40ES steam kettle’s 40-gallon capacity is great for preparing items in bulk, such as soup stock. Inside, the unit is equipped with a perforated strainer that can be used to decant the stock without food debris; draw-off processes are also accomplished via the 2-inch plug type food product draw-off valve. Seamlessly constructed inside the unit is a 316 series stainless steel liner that’s corrosion resistant and simple to wipe clean as needed, and the exterior is made of the same material to match. The unit is mounted on 2-inch diameter legs with adjustable flanged feet for simple access.
The Vulcan GS40ES steam kettle’s top features a spring-assisted stainless steel cover in addition to a condensate ring that minimizes spills and leaks throughout operation. The handle has simple lift-down operation with heavy-duty pivot action meant to withstand intense use. Mounted to the side of the body is a simple-to-discern thermostat with combination gas control valve and electric ignition. Precautions, such as a 15 PSI relief valve, vacuum relief valve, low water cut-off control, and a pressure limit switch, are installed to grant safe operation.
