Vulcan C24EA5 PS Description
As many as five full size pans fit in the Vulcan C24EA5 PS convection steamer if they are 21⁄2 inches deep. Eliminating debris-trapping crevices, the interior has coved corners, and the steaming cavity and exterior are made of stainless steel. Supporting heavy use, the door is durable, and a latch mechanism is integrated into the door to hold it closed when the unit is operating.
The steam generator in this Vulcan C24EA5 PS countertop convection steamer creates high steam output at 235 degrees Fahrenheit—a hotter temperature than the standard 212 degrees Fahrenheit for steamers. With this feature, the unit steams food quickly without losing its juices, color, and nutrients. Water is needed to generate steam, and the unit has a staged fill design that quickly provides water on startup and continues to supply it throughout the steaming cycle.
