The Traulsen TBC2H-8 floor model roll-in blast chiller quickly cools the temperature of cooked meats and other foods. The top-mounted refrigeration system is dual style and reaches temperatures between 40 to -5 degrees Fahrenheit, while the expansion valve and high-humidity evaporator coils circulate R448A refrigerant along the inside of the cabinet. Users should note that the condensing unit is remote—meaning it's purchased separately for blast chilling. This unit’s EPICON control system provides better management, allowing operators to facilitate between four cycles in automatic or manual mode; automatic mode is assisted through the built-in food probes.

The Traulsen TBC2H-7 blast chiller’s 72.3-cubic-feet interior space fits two 72-inch-high racks, which is great for high- to mid-duty tasks. The body’s interior and exterior are made of stainless steel, and the floor is padded with a ³/₄-inch-thick cork for efficient temperature holding. The cabinet and door’s 2-inch-thick polyurethane also assists with reducing operational costs and recovery times. The gasket-profile solid door keeps any products inside safe and can be locked to reduce tampering. This door features a stay-open configuration when opened past 120 degrees.
