A high-power unit, the Traulsen TBC13-32 floor model blast chiller quickly pulls down the temperature of food products to limit the time spent in the danger zone. This is possible via its self-contained, dual refrigeration system, which includes a high-humidity evaporator, air-cooled compressor, and condenser coil to support the circulation of non-toxic R448A hydrocarbon refrigerant. This refrigerant is circulated using the expansion valve, allowing temperatures to reach between 40 and -5 degrees Fahrenheit with minimal holdups. To ensure coils and other components don`t freeze over, users can adjust and set the hot gas defrost system.

The side-mounted control panel provides the following modes: blast chill, speed, energy saving and delicate. These cycles can operate manually or automatically with automatic operation assisted by three temperature probes. Once the probe is inserted in a product 90-degree Fahrenheit or above, a standard chilling cycle with a target of 37 degrees Fahrenheit ill begin in as little as 30 seconds. This control panel allows users to customize product and usernames and chill recipes. Hazard analysis critical control point information is stored with its 90-day memory to provide consistent diagnostics and data.

For mid- to low-duty chilling, this Traulsen TBC13-32 floor model blast chiller provides an 18.3-cubic-foot capacity. It has a total of 13 universal tray slides that can hold a maximum of 200 pounds. The inside is accessed through the solid stay-open and self-closing door, and the door’s gasket provides a good seal. The exterior and interior body are made of stainless steel, while the cabinet top, back, and bottom are constructed of galvanized steel. To reduce operational costs and energy expenditure, it’s insulated with 2-inch-thick polyurethane.
