To extend the quality of baked goods and desserts with effective merchandising, the Federal SGR5942 refrigerated bakery case can be incorporated into a continuous case lineup. This 59¹³⁄₁₀₀-inch-wide by 35³¹⁄₁₀₀-inch-deep by 42-inch-high unit accommodates nine 18-inch by 26-inch bakery pans on its scratch- and rust-resistant display deck and two tiers of wire shelves which can be raised, lowered, or tilted. The tempered thermopane glass front, ends, top, and doors grant a full view of the showcased items, while the sloped front glass establishes a classic appearance to complement traditional bakeries, cafes, or restaurants. To simplify cleaning, operators can tilt out the front panel.

A full-service unit, this dessert case is built with two rear sliding glass doors that let employees load and retrieve products while enhancing customer-staff relations. It features a rugged steel base decorated with a black laminate and black trim for an unobtrusive appearance that matches other bakery cases. To ensure stabilization, its base is fitted with adjustable leg levelers.

For displaying packaged cheesecakes, mousses, pies, and cakes, the Federal SGR5942 bakery case's refrigeration system uses R513a refrigerant to maintain average temperatures from 38 to 40 degrees Fahrenheit. Its oversized coil and low-velocity fan system create a high-humidity environment to prevent foods from becoming dry over time. To accommodate changing refrigeration requirements, operators can adjust the temperature settings and monitor internal temperature with the thermometer. This self-contained system includes a condensate evaporator, condenser air filter, and rust-resistant, insulated evaporator coil compartment, and its components are accessible from the back.
