Compatible with continuous case lineups, the Federal SGR5048 refrigerated bakery case is a floor model measuring 50¹/₈ inches wide by 35⁵/₁₆ inches deep by 48 inches high. For a sleek, cohesive look with other cases, it features a steel base construction with a black laminate and black trim; tempered thermopane glass front, top, ends, and doors; a rust-resistant white display deck; and three tiers of white wire shelves. Staff can raise, lower, or tilt the three shelves depending on the size of the goods being served, and the two sliding rear doors provide direct access to the shelves. Its subtly sloped front glass enhances product display and can be tilted out to simplify interior cleaning. To highlight merchandised items, its shelves and top section are fitted with LED lights, and for thorough cleaning, the doors, shelf lights, shelf supports, shelves, and display deck are removable. This unit accommodates eight 18-inch by 26-inch bakery pans or four 9-inch by 26-inch bakery pans.

The Federal SGR5048 high-volume bakery case features a self-contained refrigeration system that uses R513a refrigerant to produce and maintain temperatures between 38 and 40 degrees Fahrenheit—great for holding cakes, cupcakes, and other perishable pastries at safe serving temperatures. Its oversized coil and low-velocity fan system create a humid environment that preserves product freshness. Operators can monitor case temperature with the thermometer and modify temperature with the temperature control. To streamline maintenance, this system features a simple-to-clean, rust-resistant insulated evaporator coil compartment, a condenser air filter, and rear refrigeration system access.
