For integration into continuous case lineups or stand-alone presentation, this Federal SGR5042 refrigerated bakery case measures 50¹³⁄₁₀₀ inches wide by 35³¹⁄₁₀₀ inches deep by 42 inches high and accommodates six 18-inch by 26-inch bakery pans and three 9-inch by 26-inch bakery pans on its three display levels. Its resilient steel base sports a black laminate and trim for a neutral, unobtrusive appearance that complements common bakery, cafe, and grocery store themes. To minimize rocking and wobbling as bakery pans are loaded or retrieved, it's positioned on adjustable leg levelers.

This dessert case's three display levels feature a rust- and scratch-resistant white display deck and two tiers of white wire shelves. The shelves can be raised, lowered, or tilted in three positions to accommodate changing inventory and enhance product presentation. For a bright display, the case's top and shelves are highlighted with LED lights. The front, sides, and top are made of tempered thermopane glass for long-term strength and clarity, and the front glass's gently sloped design provides a full view of the interior. This full-service configuration features two rear sliding glass doors so employees can retrieve customer purchases, creating a customer-centric setup. To ease cleanup, the front glass can be tilted out, and the doors, display deck, shelves, shelf lights, and shelf supports can be removed.

To hold baked goods at appropriate temperatures, the Federal SGR5042 bakery case's refrigeration system operates with R513A refrigerant and produces average temperatures of 38 to 40 degrees Fahrenheit. The oversized coil and low-velocity fan system create high humidity to minimize the risk of food becoming dry. Operators can adjust temperatures with the corresponding control and use the thermometer to monitor case settings. This self-contained system includes a condensate evaporator, rust-resistant, insulated evaporator coil compartment, and condenser air filter—all of which are accessible from the case's rear.
