To extend the length of dessert displays, the Federal SGR3648 high-volume refrigerated bakery case can be incorporated into continuous case lineups. This 36¹³⁄₁₀₀-inch-wide by 35³¹⁄₁₀₀-inch-deep by 48-inch-high unit's resilient steel base sports black laminate with a black trim to complement other case designs and established decorative themes. For a full view of the case's interior, the front, top, ends, and doors are made of clear, tempered thermopane glass, and the case's top and shelves are brightened with LED lights. To ensure this unit remains stable on irregular flooring, its leg levelers can be raised or lowered.

Able to accommodate four 18-inch by 26-inch and four 9-inch by 26-inch bakery pans, this dessert case is built with four display levels. The three tiers of white wire shelving can be raised, lowered, or tilted in three positions to support changing inventory, while the white display deck resists rust and scratches to preserve its neutral color throughout high-volume use. Employees can load and retrieve baked goods from the two sliding glass doors. This full-service configuration minimizes the risk of product contamination and shoplifting and can create customer-centric interactions. When cleaning is required, the doors, display deck, shelves, shelf lights, and shelf supports can be removed, and the front sloped glass can be tilted out.

For desserts that require refrigerated storage, the Federal SGR3648 bakery case operates with R513A refrigerant to maintain temperatures from 38 to 40 degrees Fahrenheit. Operators can monitor temperatures with the thermometer and set temperatures with the temperature control. To reduce the risk of contents drying out while they're displayed, the refrigeration system's oversized coil and low-velocity fan generate high humidity. This self-contained refrigeration system includes a condensate evaporator; rust-resistant, insulated evaporator coil compartment; and condenser air filter that can be accessed from the rear.
