The Vollrath 5950170 commercial induction cooktop can be used in a buffet station to keep food warm until it's served. When an induction-ready pan is placed on the burner, it powers on automatically, and it shuts off when the pan is removed to reduce energy use. The timer can be set at a maximum of 180 minutes using a variable-speed knob on the unit's control box. This box also enables power level adjustments and provides a warning readout to alert when the warmer is still hot after powering off.

An LED digital readout on the Vollrath 5950170 drop-in induction cooktop enables precise temperature monitoring. Small article detection identifies when lightweight items are placed on the burner, and overheat protection prevents temperatures from reaching unsafe levels. Made of ceramic, the top can be wiped clean after use and is durable enough to withstand daily operation. This unit accommodates pans as large as 14 inches.
