"I've used this stone for making pizzas on several occasions. I haven't gotten into making bread with it yet. Seems like a good stone, very thick, so I'm expecting a longer life out of it. There was a little bit of a learning curve when using this on the grill. It takes a good 40 minutes to heat up fully (in contrast with a thin stone at 15 minutes). I spent some time cleaning it due to this miscalculation."
"I bake a variety of breads, at least once a week, and the occasional pizza. I plan to build a clay oven on my farm, but have used this stone since February 2010 as a 'stop gap' Not sure that the clay oven could do any better! A very reliable stone. Yes, it does stain a bit but as another reviewer said it does not affect performance, and one can always clean it up a bit with sanding paper is desired. I have already recommended it to friends."
"This is an excellent stone for pizza, I put it in the oven at 450F for 20 minutes to preheat. The stone is excellent, I wouldn't use anything thinner -- the thicker stones are definitely very durable, I have broken thinner ones frequently. Don't worry about staining during use it doesn't affect the performance -- overall A+ product."
