Summit BIM44G Description
With a fully finished design, the Summit BIM44G undercounter ice maker can be permanently built into a counter or installed freestanding. While an ergonomic, brushed stainless steel handle gives users access to retrieve ice, the stainless steel door stands up to heavy-duty use. As much as 25 pounds of ice fits in the bin, and its insulated construction helps prevent the ice from melting.
With a compact 15-inch width, the Summit BIM44G ice machine can be installed in tight spaces, and this piece of equipment features an automatic defrost system that takes that critical maintenance step away from the operator to free up labor and keep the machine running smoothly. To empty water from unused ice, this ice maker must be connected to a floor drain, however, because it has a drain pump, the floor drain can be uphill or farther away than usual. The unit's door hinge can be reversed from the left side to the right side to match any venue's setup.

"Stopped working because the bin full sensor supposedly was bad. Replaced it and the unit still didn't work. Support is terrible, and so are the factory authorized service companies."
-
"Many problems with mine as well. Makes ice then it all melts and does not make more. Does not keep ice cubes they melt if not used!"
-
"It worked for one week! try to find a better brand."
-
"First year of ownership the icecube maker would go on standby and stop making ice. I would have to restart and would run another three days. This year is making three trays of cubes and powers down to standby and stops making ice. Called summit and says out of warranty. I paid 149.95 for service and now they say it needs a 499-00 circuit board. Not even one year of use. What a big pile garbage. Paid the xtra money as they said it would last since it is in an outside bar. They were wrong. Don't waste your money."
