Its programmable open-door alarm notifies users when the door has been left open for too long and can be set from 1 to 99 minutes. The refrigerator's easy-grip handle fits comfortably in the user's hand and provides a secure way to break the door gasket seal and open the door.

Strong magnets inside the Summit ARS8PV Accucold Pharma-Vac medical refrigerator's door gasket create an airtight, positive seal each time the door is closed, helping keep microbes and contaminants from entering the cabinet. To protect door gasket efficiency, users can run probe and logger cords through the pre-cut ¹⁄₂-inch access port in the side of the unit. Inside the unit, a built-in fan circulates cold air to promote rapid temperature recovery.
