To keep cold air from escaping the cabinet of the Continental Refrigeration SW48N-FB worktop refrigerator, it is insulated with 2 inches of polyurethane foam and the doors shut tightly with magnetic gaskets. If staff forget to shut one of the doors, it closes automatically to save energy. To store chilled items, this unit includes two shelves that are epoxy coated to resist corrosion and provide durability. The cabinet is durable—its top, front, and side panels are made of stainless steel and the interior is made of aluminum.

This Continental Refrigeration SW48N-FB commercial worktop refrigerator has a self-contained refrigeration system that uses R-290 hydrocarbon refrigerant to maintain cold temperatures. If the temperature rises or dips dramatically, an alarm sounds to inform nearby employees the unit needs maintenance. To adjust the temperature, operators can use the electronic controls, and to monitor it, a digital display provides accurate readouts. If the refrigerator must be relocated, it can be rolled on its 3³⁄₄-inch casters.
