Requiring less setup work and expense than water- and remote-cooled options, the Ice-O-Matic MFI0800A/B40PS ice maker head and bin is an air-cooled system. It makes flake ice, which is excellent for grocery stores and hospitals, as they can use flake ice to pack in food trays in refrigerated display cases or create ice packs for patients. Made for extended use in water, the head features a sturdy and resilient stainless steel auger and evaporator.

The Ice-O-Matic MFI0800A/B40PS ice machine and bin’s door is top-hinged, which means it opens upward and out of the way while users are retrieving ice from the bin. It has an aluminum exterior that holds up well against corrosion, such as from cleaning chemicals in the machine’s surroundings, and the unit has 6-inch legs that can be repositioned to compensate for uneven floors.
