"I am a 75 year old farmer who likes to use traditional hand tools, To make that clear, I mow with a scythe. Keeps me fit. I chose this peel because I like wood baking implements and I wanted a long handle to reach well into a a hot oven without burning the hair off my arms! It has proven to be exactly what I needed. I use it for baking breads, which I do at least once a week, and occasional pizzas. After use, I wipe it down with a damp cloth and might rub a bit of olive or mineral oil on it from time to time. It has not warped or delaminated in the 4 years that I have been using it, and in fact looks as new. My only modification has been to drill a 1 inch hole in the end of the handle that I might hang it near the oven. I can say nothing ill about this peel a great tool!"
