  • Worse than worthless on all but soft cheese.

"Breaks every time you try to use it on anything other than soft cheese. The handle and roller are exquisite, but worthless given the inadequate cutting wire. Waste of money and time. The item is so beautiful and nice to handle that I wasted more time trying to fool myself that it would work. It won't!"
  • Perfect replacement.

"Broke on the first try on gruyer cheese."
  • Nice looking, heavy construc but useless

"Price is right compared to "gourmet stores" but when the wire breaks the first time you use it, price becomes irrelevant and the cheese slicer turns into a paper weight. The actual slicer is ok but the wire is obviously too flimsy."
  • A good cheese slicer.

"A wire cheese cutter was difficult for me to find, with the exception of a premium cooking supply store where it was nearly $20us. I bought this as a gift for a frustrated friend. This is very well made and would have cost more at a physical retail store. I only rated it ****, as I'm not sure how high such a simple device should be rated."
