Because the Cambro UPCHT1600401 Ultra Camcart® H Series insulated food carrier has a heated top compartment, operators can open and close the door frequently, store the unit in cold ambient temperatures, and use it for long catering events. This unit is fully insulated with polyurethane, so the bottom section can store cold and hot foods as needed. Vent caps in each section release steam that can cause product to become soggy, and vertical vents circulate air throughout the cabinet uniformly, removing cold spots. Intended to be moved for catering events, this unit can be unplugged for 4 hours without reaching unsafe temperatures.

The Cambro UPCHT1600401 food carrier's polyethylene construction remains cool to the touch while resisting cracks, dents, and rust. Its 28³⁄₄-inch-wide by 33³⁄₈-inch-deep by 54¹⁄₈-inch-high structure accommodates full-size pans with various depths for versatility. Its two doors open 240 degrees so users can load and unload product without barriers. They remain secured in place when closed via durable notches to help minimize temperature fluctuations. Fixed and swiveling heavy-duty casters are built on the bottom of the unit, facilitating movement through facilities.
