The four posts attach to the sides of the shelf plates to stabilize them and are made of steel with polypropylene exteriors. Also made of polypropylene, the shelf plates won't rust, peel, or corrode, and they're durable to keep up with regular, everyday use. For versatile storage in pantries, dishrooms, and walk-in refrigerators and freezers, this unit is usable in temperatures from -36 to 190 degrees Fahrenheit.

With its speckled gray appearance, the Cambro CPU247272S4PKG polymer shelving unit matches other units in the Camshelving® Premium series. For sanitary use, the shelf plates contain Camguard® antimicrobial protection, which decreases bacteria growth between proper cleanings in the dishwasher.
