Each shelf measures 42 inches wide by 24 inches deep, is made of rust- and corrosion-resistant polypropylene, and is treated with Camguard® antimicrobial to inhibit fungal and bacterial growth that could form stains and odors. The solid shelf's flat, sturdy surface can prevent leaky products from spilling, store small objects safely, and support freshly folded linens. Air can pass through the three vented shelf plates' slotted surfaces and circulate around stored contents for even airflow, which is ideal for storing perishables.

The Cambro CBU244272VS4580 starter shelving unit can support 1,800 pounds when loaded to its full capacity, though each lower shelf has a 600-pound capacity, and the top shelf can hold 400 pounds. Four composite posts support this 42-inch-wide by 24-inch-deep by 72-inch-high unit, and they're capped with leveling feet that balance on irregular ground. For versatility regarding where it can be stored, it's designed to endure temperatures between -36 and 190 degrees Fahrenheit, meaning it's compatible with dishrooms, pantries, and walk-in freezers and coolers. To facilitate setup, traverses, dovetails, and preassembled post connectors and wedges are included with this kit.
