The Merco Savory MHG42SSB1N holding cabinet's four heated holding shelves hold prepared dishes at safe serving temperatures and accommodate eight trays total. Its 19¹/₅-inch-wide by 18-inch-deep by 21³/₁₀-inch-high structure fits compact countertops, while its single-sided design is compatible with food prep stations or kitchens. This stainless steel countertop unit resists rust and corrosion and is simple to wipe clean. To protect users from burns, its exterior remains cools as contents are heated, and because it's a Carecode-enabled unit, it includes online access to training, the service hotline, service contacts, and service tracking.

For holding several dishes simultaneously, each shelf in the Merco Savory MHG42SSB1N heated holding cabinet has a correlating digital control for independent adjustment. Operators can modify temperatures from 122 to 266 degrees Fahrenheit, and the shelves generate upper and lower radiant heat for uniform results. Users can insert the stainless steel tray seals to add moisture and prevent foods from drying out during extended holding, and to keep fried foods crispy, the tray seals can be removed. Four timer bars provide accurate holding time readouts and are flush mounted to minimize debris collection and simplify cleaning.
