An LED light in the cabinet improves visibility, ensuring users can see product on the five epoxy-coated steel shelves. To hold air inside the cabinet, the door has a self-closing design, and for stocking, its hold-open feature prevents closing on the user. Because the freezer is black, it fits into different settings and hides stains.

Temperatures in this Beverage Air MMF27HC-1-B-IQ one-section merchandiser freezer can be adjusted between -10 and 0 degrees Fahrenheit, and this level can be set by the operator on the electronic controller. If the temperature gets out of a safe range or if the power is lost, the unit automatically locks to prevent customers from accessing food that isn't safe. This merchandiser uses R290 hydrocarbon refrigerant—an alternative to standard options that's more eco-friendly.
