Cleveland PEM243 Description
Great for schools and institutions, the Cleveland PEM-24-3 electric steamer has three pressurized stainless steel compartments that enable steam to reach higher temperatures than normal, excellent for cooking dense dishes like potatoes. The compartment doors are durable, attached by adjustable hinge pins and self-lubricating bushings. Safety interlocks ensure the doors stay closed under pressure. Pressure in the compartments stays at 5 PSI, and if it gets to 8 PSI, a relief valve releases steam.
The Cleveland PEM-24-3 floor steamer has a steam generator built in, so no boiler connections are necessary—however, a cold water connection is required. When the steam generator is turned on, it draws in water and prepares to steam, and at the end of a cycle, the steamer can be switched off. Doing so empties the generator of water so that its blowdown feature can wash buildup down the drain. For servicing and cleaning, important components are accessible in the cabinet base.
