While its resilient, injection-molded polypropylene construction withstands high-volume use and can be wiped clean, a Microban® antimicrobial additive is embedded into the bed's surface to inhibit bacterial growth. This surface-mounted, vertical unit measures 20³⁄₄ inches wide by 4 inches deep by 35⁷⁄₈ inches high when closed, and it opens to a 36⁵⁄₈-inch depth to fit compact restrooms.

The Koala Kare KB301-01SS commercial baby changing station's pneumatic cylinder and metal mounting chassis let the bed open and close slowly to prolong its service life in high-traffic settings. The bed's concave design provides a comfortable surface for children and includes a safety strap that secures them in place. A dual-liner cavity with an internal spring tab guides liners forward and dispenses them one at a time. To protect against vandalism or theft, this 50-liner-capacity component is equipped with a locking mechanism, and diaper bags or purses can be stored on the external stainless steel hook so they remain in reach and off the ground.
