To achieve cool, safe refrigeration, the Turbo Air TOM-48L-UFD-W(B)-3S-N open-air display merchandiser uses eco-friendly R290 refrigerant. High-density, foamed-in place polyurethane preserves desired temperatures, even if the unit must be stored in humid or warm ambient environments. Because its rear doors are perforated and its top is open, air can circulate evenly to establish an air wall that protects stored contents from insects and dust. Its digital electronic thermostat can be used to alter temperatures, monitor temperatures, and start defrost cycles as inventory changes. As a self-contain refrigeration unit, it requires no plumbing and can be plugged into the wall for operation. Its condenser features a daily self-cleaning mechanism that uses a rotating brush to remove dust accumulation.

This low-profile Turbo Air TOM-48L-UFD-W(B)-3S-N horizontal cooler is 46³⁄₄ inches wide by 33³⁄₄ inches deep by 53¹⁄₈ inches high and has a modern black exterior for use in grocery stores, gas stations, and convenience shops. Packaged sandwiches, salads, and snacks and bottled beverages can be organized on the stainless steel deck and two glass shelves to grab customer attention. The tempered glass front shield and side panel grant a three-sided view of stock stored on the deck, and built-in LED lighting improves visibility. Glass sliding doors built onto the unit's rear streamline loading and retrieving goods without interfering with customers as they look for their desired product.
