Star PST14IE Description
The Star PST14IE Pro-Max 2.0® sandwich grill is equipped with two smooth cast iron plates for high conductivity and reduced cooking time. This 14-inch grill works best for small restaurants or cafes that frequently warm quesadillas, grill hamburgers, or cook protein. The smooth plates are versatile because they work like a griddle, and the cast iron provides a nonstick surface when reseasoned properly. The top and bottom plates come together to cook foods evenly in a short amount of time. Connected to a spring-hinge system, the top plate presses down on foods and retracts, reducing food waste because food is cooked well. Once the cast iron plates are heated, they can retain heat for extended periods, which is ideal for back-to-back orders. It operates in a 175- to 550-degree-Fahrenheit temperature range to accommodate various foods. An electronic temperature control and an electronic timer notify the operator when the grill is at the intended temperature and when foods are cooked.
The Star PST14IE Pro-Max 2.0 sandwich grill's 3-inch flat landing opening enables food to have solid contact with the top and bottom plates. Its roomy opening also prevents contents from being squeezed out while pressed. The press's electrical connection is protected because the conduit resists water and oil. Its stainless steel composition prevents corrosion over time.
