As holding requirements change, operators can adjust the bases' temperatures from 185 to 200 degrees Fahrenheit, while the upper infrared heaters consistently direct heat toward the shelves' outer edges, where heat loss is common because of the cabinet's doorless design. Each 53⁸⁷/₁₀₀-inch-wide by 22-inch-deep shelf includes 10 adjustable product divider rods that can be used to organize items and grab customer attention.

Although this Hatco GR2SDS-54D horizontal merchandising warmer has two shelves, it measures 60¹/₄ inches wide by 26¹⁶/₂₅ inches deep—the same dimensions as a single-shelf warmer. This design lets the unit maximize holding capability without occupying a larger countertop footprint. Employees can insert fresh foods into the open back, while customers can retrieve their purchases from the slanted shelves for convenience. Shatterproof incandescent bulbs light the cabinet's interior so customers have a direct view into the cabinet, and their shatterproof designs protect displayed foods from bulb breakage. This 33¹⁷/₂₀-inch-tall unit's anodized aluminum construction is simple to wipe clean and furnished with 4-inch legs that elevate product to improve presentation.
