Compatible with heating holding tanks for food reconstitutors or bain maries, this Hatco FR-6 food rethermalizer heater includes standard 2-inch plated brass plumbing fittings to simplify mounting to a holding vessel. This 7³/₄-inch-wide by 16⁷/₈-inch-deep by 12¹/₄-inch-high unit accommodates a 6-foot-long bain marie at most and requires installation with a perforated water baffle, which is sold separately. Incoming water exceeding 3 grains of hardness per gallon (GPG) should be treated and softened before use with this heater. To simplify cleaning as its sump traps and collects soil, it can be plumbed into an open-sight waste drain. Designed for demanding settings, its stainless steel front resists rust and corrosion, while its silver-gray sides feature a durable hammertone finish.

This dual-reservoir Hatco FR-6 bain marie heater's heating element is permanently submerged for optimal heat transfer. Operators can adjust heat from 140 to 190 degrees Fahrenheit with the water temperature control to accommodate changing holding and heating requirements. Because the heated water circulates continuously, it eliminates cold spots that could affect food quality. A correlating indicator light shows water is preheated to the set temperature, and if temperatures exceed the setpoint unexpectedly, its energy cutoff mechanism stops operation to prevent damage.
