To generate a continuous supply of rinse water between 180 and 190 degrees Fahrenheit, the Hatco 3CS2-4 Hydro-Heater sanitizing sink heater uses free-flow technology to move sink water into the system's flow tube for heating. Heating elements encase the tube's exterior, and because they aren't immersed in water, sediment and lime are unable to accumulate on the elements. Heated water returns to the sink's holding vessel due to natural convection. An electronic controller maintains a programmed temperature setpoint, and its digital display provides an accurate readout so operators can ensure rinse water is at a safe, sanitizing temperature for dishwashing. To prevent heating when water levels drop, a low-water cut-off system is integrated into this model.

The Hatco 3CS2-4 sanitizing sink heater can generate sanitizing rinse water temperatures when supply water is 140 degrees Fahrenheit and has fewer than 3 grains of hardness per gallon. Water with more than 3 grains of hardness per gallon must be treated and softened before use with the heater. As debris accumulates in the heater, it can be released through the unit's drain outlet, which includes clean-out caps. This 7³/₄-inch-wide by 17¹/₁₆-inch-deep by 12⁹/₂₅-inch-high unit can be installed into a sink area between 16 and 18 inches at the base of a three- or four-compartment sink. For simple setup, it includes the required internal plumbing and wiring for installation. Its stainless steel front resists rust and corrosion to preserve its original structure throughout use, and its black powder-coated body can be wiped clean.
