The grinding chamber that holds the food waste is made of the same material, and the shredding elements are made of cast nickel. As this unit operates at high speeds, the Timken rollers provide shock absorption.
This InSinkErator SS-200 208/1 basic unit disposer operates with a 2-horsepower motor. The lip seal shields the motor from water penetration. Once installed below the sink bowl, its legs can be adjusted to fit various sink heights. It ships with a mounting gasket to be installation-ready upon delivery. To clean the exterior, users only need a wet cloth and warm, soapy water.
