The Metro MQ-213674G-S-4 polymer louvered shelf kit ships knocked down and includes four posts, four shelves, and four wedge connectors per shelf. The kit requires field assembly that can be completed in minutes without tools, and once assembled, it measures 35¹³/₁₆ inches in width by 21³/₈ inches in depth by 74 inches in height. This is a starter unit, meaning it can either stand alone or be combined with Metro add-on units to create a custom shelf configuration.

Each individual shelf can hold 800 pounds of stored food, while the entire unit can hold a maximum of 2,000 pounds. The plastic construction is reinforced with steel frames coated in epoxy, and the shelves feature open-grid shelf mats that are easy to remove and safe to sanitize in a commercial dishwasher. To prevent dust buildup, the open-grid design allows cold air to circulate freely on all sides of stored food. These shelves are equipped with antimicrobial Microban® technology that helps protect the shelf surfaces from mold and bacterial growth between cleanings.
