For durability, the Metro 5Q327G3 shelf kit's frame is constructed of steel coated in epoxy. Its shelf mats are made of injection-molded polypropylene, which are removable and dishmachine safe to simplify cleaning. These mats feature an open-grid design, encouraging air circulation and light penetration for enhanced visibility. Because this unit is designed with built-in Microban® antimicrobial, it reduces the risk of bacteria, mildew, mold, and fungus growth. Overall, it measures 29¹³/₁₆ inches wide by 18³/₈ inches deep by 74 inches high.

Because of its epoxy coating, the Metro 5Q327G3 shelving unit is corrosion and abrasion resistant. It endures use in wet, high-humidity areas—great for dishrooms or walk-in coolers and freezers. Built with a corner release system, operators can easily adjust shelves, which can be repositioned in 1-inch increments without the need for tools. Its feet are made of reinforced nylon and can also be adjusted to level the unit on irregular surfaces. This model's shelves can individually hold as much as 600 pounds or a maximum of 2,000 pounds.
