The smallwares section of the KaTom website features all of the small utensils and products you will need for your foodservice business. Some smallware items are necessities, while others are optional to present a more orderly or sophisticated looking business. The smallwares section is divided up into 23 smaller sections to help minimize confusion and help you find what you need more quickly.

Baking Supplies

The baking supplies section is broken down into 23 smaller categories that hold all of the products you would need in a commercial kitchen for baking, from baking sheet liners to muffin pans. There are a myriad of baking products available in this section.

Can & Bottle Openers

The can & bottle openers section is divided up into 3 smaller sections, categorized by the way the opener operates. Electric can openers are perhaps the easiest method available for opening cans. Electric openers take away any kind of manual effort in opening, which allows you to perform other tasks while the can is being opened. Manual can openers allow you to manually open cans, but do so with assistance from the opener. Bottle openers can be used to open a variety of bottle types, from cans to wine bottles. Bottle openers are available in a variety of styles to allow you to choose the opener that you will need most frequently.

Beverage & Chocolate Fountains

Beverage & chocolate fountains are extremely useful for large scale events such as weddings, family get-togethers, or business conferences. Fountains are widely used by caterers to create a high-class, exciting presentation that will keep customers calling back for their service more often. Chocolate fountains are ideal for dipping fruits and other foods in warm, melted chocolate. Beverage fountains are an elegant way to present a beverage while allowing customers to self-serve.

Food Pans & Accessories

The food pans & accessories section is separated into 8 smaller sections based on pan size. Ninth size pans have 9 separate compartments to allow you to offer nine different foods without allowing them to mix together. Sixth size pans are divided into six sections for different foods. Fourth size pans have larger holding compartments and are only divided into 4 sections. Third size pans have even larger compartments since they are only divided into three sections. Half size pans have 2 large compartments that can hold large quantities of food. Half size long pans are also available which are divided into 2 sections, but are divided into long compartments. Full size pans are large, open pans that can hold large quantities of food. Refrigerant filled food pans are also available to keep cold foods chilly until they are ready to be served.

Kitchen Supplies & Serving Utensils

The kitchen supplies & serving utensils section holds 25 smaller categories that contains all of the kitchen supplies necessary for running a commercial kitchen. This section also contains serving utensils which can be used for a variety of purposes, from serving soups to pasta.

Knives, Turners, & Accessories

The knives, turners, & accessories section houses 13 smaller categories that contains numerous types of cutting and turning utensils, as well as the accessories that make these easier to use. This section contains 6 different types of knives, including chef / butcher / kitchen knives which are the most common types of knives seen in kitchens. Japanese style / sushi knives which are great for use in oriental-themed restaurants. Miscellaneous knives and accessories contain various types of knives as well as sheaths. HACCP color coded handle knives allow you to meet all sanitation standards by providing knives that are color coded to prevent cross-contamination. Knife sets can be purchased which include many different types and sizes of knives in a handy knife holder. Competition knives are specialty knives that provide excellent cutting.

Cut resistant gloves are a great way to ensure that your chef's hands are protected while he/she is cutting food products. These gloves are constructed of a metal mesh which will stop a blade if it slips onto the skin. Knife holders hold knives so they will not be a danger while lying around the kitchen. Knife sharpeners help to ensure that your knives will be kept sharp and ready to use. Spreaders are great for spreading butter or other products onto foods. Turners can be used to turn food while it is cooking to prevent overcooking on a certain side. Signage

The signage section is divided into 3 smaller categories. Lighted open signs are a great way to advertise to customers that your business is open and ready to serve them. 3" x 9" wall signs are available that advertise where the restroom is, as well as safety signs, smoking signs, or direction signs. 6" x 9" wall signs are larger signs that show similar items, just as the smaller versions do.

Bain Maries

Bain maries, also known as double-boilers, are pots used to heat substances to a certain, controlled temperature. These units are extremely useful when overheating of a product could lead to an undesirable product. A bain marie is a must-have for gourmet kitchens. These pots are great for all kinds of desserts, especially chocolate-based items.

Foodservice Brushes

The foodservice brushes section is divided into 3 smaller categories. Beverage service brushes are great for cleaning beverage dispensers. Cleaning brushes are all of the brushes that can be used for general cleaning in a commercial kitchen. Food prep brushes are great for brushing glazes or other types of seasoning onto food products while they are being prepared.
