Sanitizing sink heaters are designed to fit under the center of the sink and are ideal for 3-4 compartment sinks, pot and pan sinks, or bar sinks. Sanitizing sink heaters make manual warewashing faster and more convenient. Sink heaters help to maintain a continuous supply of sanitizing rinse water without taking up valuable space in your sink. You should carefully consider all of the options, then choose the best heater for your commercial kitchen.

Types of Sanitizing Sink Heaters

Sanitizing sink heaters can be purchased in two different types. Undersink install or mini-compact units are available, depending on your businesses needs. Undersink heaters are designed to fit conveniently under the center of the sink. The models offered through KaTom have a unique dual reservoir system. One reservoir of the system contains a heating element and should constantly have water in it. The other reservoir traps and collects soil and debris that is carried from the compartments of the sink and can be easily removed from emptying after each use.

Mini-compact sanitizing sink heaters feature a stainless steel tank and a fast recovery time. These units feature a temperature/pressure relief valve and gauges, a pressure reducing valve, and a low-water cut-off to prevent element burnout due to a low water condition.

Sink Size

Sanitizing water heaters are designed to fit specifically into certain sizes of sinks. Sanitizing heaters are designed to fit into four different size categories. A sink heater can fit into a sink that is 15" or less, 16"-18", 19"-21", or 21"-25". The size of the heater you need directly relates to the size sink you have. A larger sink will need a larger heater, while a smaller sink would need a smaller, more compact variety.

Specialty Options

Sanitizing sink heaters can be purchased with or without a low water cut off valve. A low water cut off valve does just as the name suggests. This valve detects when water levels are falling below the manufacturers recommended level and automatically cuts off the heater to minimize the risk of element burnout, thus extending the life of your unit.
