2 Section Reach-In Freezers: Additional Information

Reach-in freezers are vital to the success of any food service business. Commercial reach-in freezers store and maintain food at appropriate temperatures until it is ready to be cooked and served. The freezers in this section of KaTom's website are 2 section reach-in freezers from True, Beverage Air and our other premier manufacturers.

These two door reach-in freezers have three adjustable shelves per door, with a total of six shelves for these spacious units. These freezers either come with two large side by side doors or four smaller, half doors.

Regardless of brand, all reach-in freezers are either top or bottom mounted. Top mounted units will run cooler than bottom mounted units simply because the refrigeration system is located on the top where ventilation is greater. You also have increased storage capacity inside these units and your kitchen will stay cooler because of the location of the refrigeration system.

Bottom mounted units give the benefit of "no stoop" storage, which minimizes straining due to bending down the get the product. Easier access to the product is another positive feature of bottom mounted units. The top of the unit can be used for additional storage because of the location of the refrigeration system.

The reach-in freezers offered here are all pre-wired and will provide optimum performance when plugged into a 15 amp outlet. Depending on the specific model purchased, there will be between 35-56 cubic feet of storage area. The two-section reach-in freezers have dimensions between 39 1/2" L x 29 1/2" D x 78 3/8" H up to 51 3/8" L x 34 7/8" D x 78 1/4" H.
